| UCHIHA CLAN
The Uchiha Clan originated from the first son of The Sage of Six Paths, the father clan being the Hagoromo. The first son wasn't given anything by his father, thus so started a pure hatred war between his following generation and his brother's. This caused the "Fire of Hatred" that would be passed down to the Uchiha Clan.
This wasn't seen throughout many Uchiha's however. Those that did not have the sense of hatred included Izumi, Itachi, Shisui, Kagami, and Sasuke.
A generation ago the clan was on the verge of being extinct due to the slaughter by Itachi Uchiha. It was proven to be a direct order from the Konohagakure no Sato Council members that many Uchihas still hold a very large grudge against because the Clan was expecting to usurp the council because of how mistreated the clan was.
Since then though, Uchiha Sasuke and Uchiha Itachi are revered as Heroes of the Clan by bringing honor and respect back to the clan. Since then the clan has flourished with Sasuke marrying a woman named Minako from the Kurama Clan, fueling the genjutsu properties of the Sharingan in the recent generation of the Uchiha.
The Uchiha Clan is theorized to be the father clan of the Hyuga Clan. Whether this is true has yet to be proven, it may explain the reason why there is the 'rivalry' between them which could be compared to that of rivaling brothers.
